A snowstorm prevents Miss Palomine’s friends from coming to her math class to work on some math problems. She brought six cupcakes for her and her friends. She has six baggies so that she can save the cupcakes. This begins the discussion of equal numbers. Miss Palomine and the student look at several examples and count objects to determine whether there are equal numbers or not.
