Archeological Features (Structures, Hearths, Middens)
Moving on from artifacts, let's take a look at archeological features. Features are immovable objects such as the remains of houses, walls, or pyramids. What kinds of structures do we look for and how do we identify them? Of particular importance, apart from structures such as common buildings, we can look at hearths, which are places where humans lit fires, and middens, which are areas where refuse was dumped.
