Building Low Cost, Low Energy Homes
In addition to regeneration projects, the Mayor of Loos-en-Gohelle is investing in the construction of new low-energy houses, including wood, dry-system brick, and metal homes. These projects incorporate 100 eco-construction technologies and serve as training sites for local businesses and vocational schools. The initiative demonstrates that sustainable development can create jobs and lower residents' bills while protecting the environment, showing that sustainable development is integral to the future growth model and energy transition in France.
