Estimating and Assessing the Reasonableness of Multiplying Fractions

In this video, students learn how to assess the reasonableness of their answers when multiplying fractions by estimating. They are taught to determine which whole number a fraction is closest to on a number line, and then use that whole number to estimate the solution.
