The 2018 wading bird nesting season was historic. Wading birds nested in the Everglades in numbers that hadn't been seen since the 1940s. White Ibis formed huge colonies called "supercolonies", which are nesting colonies with greater than 10,000 birds! This video gives park Wildlife Biologist Lori Oberhofer's perspective on this historic event as she worked to monitor the nesting birds.
