FURRY PUSS CATERPILLAR!
On this episode of Breaking Trail, Coyote finds a HUGE Furry Puss Caterpillar in Costa Rica! The Furry Puss Caterpillar derives its common name from its “pussy cat” like appearance and with its long wavy hair it is by far the most bizarre looking caterpillar the team have ever encountered! Also known by locals as the “Fire Caterpillar” these Flannel Month Larva are not only strange looking but they also pack a powerful toxin in the spines beneath their furry coats. The venom delivered by these spins is said to be so painful that it creates the sensation of burning fire under the skin that can last for as long as 24 hours! Yikes!
