Gene Technology

Gene technology includes a range of activities that take advantage of genetic variation, modifying genes and transferring genes to new hosts. It includes genetic engineering and genetic testing. Gene technology is the term given to a range of activities concerned with understanding
- how genes are expressed,
- taking advantage of natural genetic variation,
- modifying genes, and
- transferring genes to new hosts.

There are many forms of gene technology. This video will take a closer look at genetic engineering, vaccines, gene therapy, and gene testing.
