GODZILLA Lizard is REAL!?
We filmed a REAL Godzilla Lizard off the coast of Fernandina in the Galapagos! Yes you read that correct, we're talking about giant marine iguanas that have adapted over millions of years to become on the only lizards on earth to explore the ocean. Recently the largest of these lizards was officially designated as the “Godzilla Iguana” with a scientific name of Amblyrhynchus cristatus godzilla - which we filmed off the coast of San Cristobal Island, on land. However, for this video we geared up for the ultimate scuba diving expedition off Fernandina Island to film deep diving marine iguanas underwater!
