Do your kids love slime? Mine do now! I bet you've seen the trend going around of all these variations of homemade slime with the latest craze - magnetic slime. My boys love magnetic slime because it's so much more interactive than regular slime. It's a great way to teach kids about magnetism while having fun at the same time. Magnetic slime is made by adding iron filings to any recipe of homemade gooey slimes. We made slime by mixing Elmer's (PVA) glue, shaving gel and liquid laundry detergent. But you can add iron filings to any recipe that worked for you. Some of you said that your liquid laundry detergent did not produce slime, which could be the case because different brands use different ingredients. Your best bet is to replace detergent with a contact lens solution. It is important to say that our "magnetic slime" is not magnetic by itself, which means it will not stick to metal things. But iron filings make it react to magnets, so you need a powerful magnet to enjoy this slime in full.
