How to Reflect Linear Functions
In this video lesson we will learn how to reflect a linear function. We will also learn how to identify a reflection using a graph and how to represent a linear reflection using function notation. We will discover that a linear function can be reflected over the x-axis by multiplying all the outputs by -1 and a linear function can be reflected over the y-axis by multiplying all the inputs by -1. We will learn how to reflect a line using an algebraic method, table method, and reflecting points. Student practice is embedded in the lesson with modeled exemplar solutions.
