Introduction to the European Space Agency's Automated Transfer Vehicle (ATV)

The Automated Transfer Vehicle (ATV) is a spacecraft developed by the European Space Agency to resupply the International Space Station. With a payload capacity of 20 tons, the ATV carries essential supplies including water, food, and experimental equipment. It docks autonomously with the ISS and, after completing its mission, safely re-enters the Earth's atmosphere.
