Investigating Simple Plants: Seedless Vascular Plants
This series of videos explores the fascinating characteristics of nonvascular land plants as well as some of the simpler vascular plants. An in-depth look at mosses, hornworts, and liverworts serves as the topic of study for the beginning of the program. The characteristics of more advanced vascular plants are then explored such as whisk ferns, horsetails, and ferns. Concepts and terminology include: Bryophyta, Hepaticophyta, Anthocerophyta, rhizoids, gametophyte, sporophyte, Lycophyta, Pterophyta, spores, and sori.
