Magic Trick: Floating Cup

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it’s a floating, pouring drink! This spooky idea is the perfect magic trick for a Halloween party or even as a prank played on a friend. Watch as we show you how you can magically pour a drink while it floats in mid-air! ⭕ Materials: - Plastic cup - Clear (nylon) thread - Scissors - Hot glue gun and glue - Coloured paper - Paper clip - Can of drink ⭕ Instructions: (1) First, glue a small piece of clear thread across the inside of the cup (2) Then, secure some coloured paper around the cup. (This will hide where the glue is) (3) Carefully secure another piece of clear thread in the middle of the other piece. (4) Next, bend a paper clip into a T-shape and tie the other end of the thread in a knot around it. (5) Open the can of drink and secure the paper clip to its pull-tab. Now for the Magic: (6) Lift the can in the air and as you begin to pour watch as the cup floats up from below. ✨ The thread attaches the can to the cup, so they will always move together. As the thread is clear, the audience are not able to see that it is there!
