The enormous challenge of building a probe capable of travelling over 1 billion kilometres to reach Saturn's moon, Titan. Physics - Universe - Learning Points. Huygens probe was designed by the European Space Agency at a cost of £400 million. NASA's Cassini satellite carried Huygens 1.3 billion km, to explore Saturn's largest moon Titan. Thick clouds surround Titan, so its surface could only be guessed at. A penetrometer on the bottom of the Huygens probe indicated the exact nature of Titan's surface. A Twig Context Film. Reinforce and extend the learning required by the curriculum. Twig’s context films show abstract concepts in action in the real world.
