It all started with the first humans in the Stone Age. This was the first period of development and evolution of man. And It is called the stone age because humans created mostly tools made of stone and wood, or simple materials. The stone age is divided into three periods: The Paleolithic The Mesolithic And the Neolithic. Then followed the age of metals, which in turn is divided into: The Copper Age. The Bronze Age.
