Processes and People
This video explores real-world problems and how solutions can be designed to mitigate these problems. Vivid video illustrates the damage created by volcanic eruptions, and how scientists work to predict eruptions so people can move to safer places. In the activity students will get the opportunity to generate and compare multiple solutions to reduce the impacts of natural Earth processes on humans. This program correlates to the following Next Generation Science Standard: 4. Earth’s Systems: Processes that Shape the Earth, 4-ESS3-2.
