Promoting Biodiversity: The Importance of Preserving Local Plant Species
The World Famous Botanical Gardens at Kew is hosting a summer festival centered around the theme of biodiversity. Horticultural designer Mary Reynolds has created a special garden to emphasize the importance of preserving endangered local plant species. The festival, sponsored by the UK's Environment Ministry, aims to raise public awareness about biodiversity and promote the government's commitment to prioritizing the environment. Horticultural students have also contributed their own displays featuring native plants, while Kew Gardens has chosen the slogan "Go Wild" to encourage the conservation of Britain's wild plant species.
