Recognizing Patterns in Nonlinear Functions

In this lesson, students will learn how to write a rule for a nonlinear function by recognizing patterns. They will explore linear and nonlinear functions, identifying common differences and patterns in tables of values. Through examples and graphing exercises, students will develop an understanding of cubic functions and how to determine the relationship between the number of blocks per edge and the total number of blocks needed for each cube.
