Spaceship One: Journey to Suborbital Spaceflight

Space Ship One is a privately built rocket, designed for sub-orbital space flight. It is carried aloft by the White Knight mother craft. The system was built in response to a challenge, known as the Ansari X Prize, for the first team that could build a reusable spacecraft and take it into space twice within a two week period.
