Burning Bubbles
We investigate the properties of two types of gas bubbles: methane gas bubbles and bubbles of the gas we breathe out. The air-filled bubbles sink and we are unable to set them alight, while the methane bubbles float upwards and are highly combustible. Chemistry - Periodic Table - Learning Points. Air consists mainly of nitrogen and some oxygen. Methane is a good fuel. Methane is less dense than air. Oxygen must be present for a substance to burn. Animals breathe out carbon dioxide during respiration. A Twig Experiment Film. Let students experience real experiments in lab conditions anywhere, from setup, method all the way through to analysis and real-world application.
