Can Metals Exist as Gases?

Another notable example is mercury, which boils at a comparatively lower temperature of 356.7°C among metals.

However, gaseous forms of metals do not retain the properties characteristic of solid metals, such as metallic bonds, conductivity, ductility, or lustrous appearance.
