This video shows how fractions can be different in size, and how to compare those sizes. We look at fractions with the same denominator such as 1/3 and 2/3, and fractions with the same numerator, such as 1/2 and 1/4 . Then we compare the fractions and practice using greater than/less than symbols. Comparing fractions gives us a deeper understanding of fractions and can help us with mental math and estimation.
