Enzyme Action: Trypsin
We demonstrate denaturing by adding the enzyme trypsin to photographic film. Strips of photographic film are added to trypsin solution at different temperatures to determine the optimum conditions for the enzyme. In the right conditions the enzyme strips the coating from the film. Biology - Cells And DNA - Learning Points. Enzymes are biological catalysts. Enzymes have active sites. Enzymes are affected by temperature and pH. Trypsin and pepsin are digestive proteases acting in different parts of the digestive system. A Twig Experiment Film. Let students experience real experiments in lab conditions anywhere, from setup, method all the way through to analysis and real-world application.
