Language in Science: Help in Understanding
The meaningful use of language and vocabulary are some of the fundamentals of science. This program explores strategies and methods of understanding scientific language. Emphasis is placed on how the language of science supports communication and understanding as portrayed in the ELA Common Core Standards. The program is accompanied by a 15-page teacher's guide that includes student learning objectives, standards correlations, lesson plans, assessments, vocabulary, reading, writing, and hands-on activities.
