Powers of Ten: Exponential and Number Form
In this math video we will consider powers of ten in exponential form and in number form. We will be presented with a table comparing valued in exponential form and number form. We will drag and drop the appropriate values that are missing to complete the table. We will understand that exponential form represents a power with a base of ten and an exponent. We will review that the exponent informs us of how many times to multiply the base by itself. We will also understand that the number form of a value with a base of ten will be a 1 followed by the zeros. The number of zeros will be the same as the exponent of the value in exponential form. An exemplar solution is modeled and explained.
