In this video we explain a mental maths trick for performing multiplication. By assessing the whole question first, short-term memory load can be reduced when doing mental arithmetic. Practice questions and answers are at the end of the video. Note this tip only works with certain problems but working this way encourages learners to assess the whole question first and become more flexible when working with numbers.
