The Virgin Challenger: an Attempt to Circumnavigate the World

Early in 1997 a group of engineers were putting the finishing touches to unique craft designed by Swedish aeronautical engineer Per Lindstand. The team funded by entrepreneur and adventurer Richard Branson were in Morocco preparing for the launch of a hybrid helium hot air balloon that they hoped would fly around the world.
