Vapor Cone

A Vapor Cone is a cloud around the rear of a very fast jet plane, in the shape of a cone, formed by quickly falling pressure, falling temperature, and rising relative humidity. It does not require a plane to break the sound barrier and create a sonic boom! It's a cloud of condensed moisture.
