Congruent Angles formed by Parallel Lines & a Transversal | 8.G.A.5
In this math video we will learn about congruent angles formed by parallel lines & a transversal. We will review the definitions of vertical angles, alternate interior angles and alternate exterior angles. We will also apply these definitions to a figure of parallel lines intersected by a transversal to determine which angles are congruent. We will understand that vertical angles are formed by a pair of intersecting lines and the angles opposite from each other are congruent. Alternate interior angles are angles formed inside parallel lines & on alternate sides of a transversal. Alternate exterior angles are formed outside parallel lines and on alternate sides of a transversal. An exemplar solution is modeled and explained.
