DIY Craft: Paper Bag Tree
Let’s create a 3D sculpture of an autumn tree! In the fall, we can clearly see how unique are shapes of different types of trees. With the project, you’ll be able to turn your paper bag into any kind of trees you like. I was going for more of an apple tree. ⠀ MATERIALS:⠀ - Paper bag⠀ - Leaves⠀ - Glue stick⠀ - Scissors⠀ ⠀ INSTRUCTIONS:⠀ (1) Fold up a paper bag. You’ll want to cut a lot of medium-sized slits, about 2cm each. The cuts should go about 2/3rds of the way down the bag. Be sure to cut through both sides of the paper. These are your tabs.⠀ (2) Open the bag up, and start gathering all the tabs together at the base. Squeeze them together really tight! When they’re close together, start to twist from the base of all the tabs upward gently. ⠀ (3) Taking 2 or 3 tabs at a time, twist them together to make tree branches. Leave the last third of the branch and just twist out the singular tabs. These make some skinnier branches. ⠀ (4) Glue the leaves to the ends of the twisted branches. ⠀ Our tree sculpture is complete!
