Equivalent Expressions & The Commutative Property | 6.EE.A.4
In this math video we will discuss equivalent expressions & The Commutative Property. We will review that a given variable expression has two terms; a variable term and a constant term. We will review that this variable expression is in simplest form since these are not like terms and cannot be combined or added. We will consider the given answer choices and eliminate incorrect choices while discussing why they are not correct. We will use the Distributive Property to simplify one answer choice and compare. We will also use the Commutative Property to rearrange an expression to determine equivalency. An exemplar solution is modeled and explained.
