Subtracting Linear Expressions Two Ways | Algebra 1 | A-APR.A.1 🖤💙
In this math video we will learn about subtracting linear expressions two ways. First we will review subtracting a polynomial expression using the horizontal method. We will identify like terms and subtract one from the other. We will then subtract the linear expression using the vertical method. We will stack each like term from each expression vertically. We will subtract one like term from the other. Reviewing that subtracting a negative is the same as adding the positive. An exemplar solution for both methods is modeled and explained.
