This toy is a wonderful visual learning tool! If your child is a more tactile learner, try this to help jumpstart their counting skills and connecting numbers to the visual amounts. You can make the scoops of ice cream their favourite flavour for an extra special touch. MATERIALS:⠀ - 2 paper cups - Colourful markers - Black marker - Scissors INSTRUCTIONS: (1) Draw an ice cream sundae on a paper cup, bottom side up. Be sure to have five scoops. Cut out the waffle cone and all 5 ice cream scoops. (2) Place your second cup inside the first. Draw the number 1 on the ice cream cone, and draw one scoop of ice cream. Rotate the bottom paper cup, and repeat for all numbers up to 5 (or as many numbers as you can fit). (3) Color in your ice cream scoops and have fun!
