In this math video we will describe the two dimensional face formed from slicing a 3D figure. We will relate the number of faces passed through when slicing to the number of sides on the two dimensional cross section. We will visually look at slicing a pyramid both vertically to the base and horizontally to the base. This is also perpendicular to the base and parallel to the base respectively. An exemplar solution is provided.
