What is a Statistical Question?
In this math video we will determine what is a statistical question. A statistical question is a question you ask that has more than one possible answer. A question that has only ONE possible answer is NOT a statistical question! A group of middle school students went to an aquarium for a class trip. Afterward, the principal asked them several questions about their trip to the aquarium. Which of the following questions that the principal asked are statistical questions? We will review each of the five questions and discuss whether the answer is FACT or OPINION. If there are a variety of possible answers we will identify the question as a statistical question. An exemplar solution is modeled and explained.
